Created to Worship by Paul Walerczak Each one of us were made in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:26). Within the Godhead we see perfect worship. The Father points to His son, The Son points to the Father, and the Holy Spirit magnifies the Father and the Son. In short, this means we too were created to worship. In this week's episode of Paul's Corner we take a brief look at worship and our responsibility to worship God the creator above all things! Blessings on your week, paul

Creation and God's Mercy by Paul Walerczak The whitetail season has officially arrived in Indiana and throughout the majority of the country. We have already began to see a few great bucks harvested in our area. Yesterday morning was simply a picture perfect time to be in the whitetail woods. The temperature was 47 degrees, light winds out of the north, a blue bird sky, and there were lots of critters waking up after sunrise. It was simply one of those magical moments when you feel so small in the midst of all that God has created. Midway through the hunt there was a lull in all of the hustle and bustle of the various morning routines of the critters that were around me. This allowed sometime to pull out my I-Touch and read the Bible. There is always such a deep connection with Almighty God our creator when we will take time to read His word while setting on stand witnessing all that He has created. After reading several chapters in the book of John my thoughts turned to the book of Psalms. My fingers turned the electronic pages of scripture to Psalm 136. The following short video is the result of those precious moments spent on stand with my Creator and Heavenly Father. As always I hope these words are an encouragement to you as you wrap up your week! In His Grace, paul Don't Forget the Girl by Paul Walerczak There is one word that can describe many outdoorsmen starting in or around October 1st of each year. The word is "obsessed". Webster's Dictionary defines the word obsess in the following ways: to haunt or excessively preoccupy the mind of, to engage in obessive thinking : become obsessed with an idea. If that doesn't sound like a whitetail hunter trying to punch his tag with a mature shooter buck I don't know what does. Since joing the pro-staff for Midwestwhitetail in 2009 and then starting Without Excuse Ministries in February of 2010 I can honestly say I think about whitetail hunting year around. You can find me frequently reading, watching, or studying material to learn how to make the most of my time in the whitetail woods. Since June of this year I have taken hundreds, possibly even one thousand shots, with my bow. I have taken these shots from seated, elevated, standing, and crouching positions. You could say "Paul is obsessed with making good, clean, ethical shots with his bow" and that would be a true statement. There has been time spent preparing two fields in Kentucky for food plots that are an hour and fifteen minutes away from my home. The study of aerial photos and topo maps have helped me learn where to place my tree stand sets and learn the best entry and exit routes to these locations. The list could go on and on, but in short you could say that I have become "obsessed" with chasing mature bucks. At times even hauntd by them! In the midst of this obsession it is vitally important to keep first things first and not overlook or neglect the ones who love you the most...inspite of your obsession! My prayer is this short video will help all of us during the upcoming whitetail season. Blessings on your season, paul Eager Anticipation by Paul Walerczak We eagerly anticipate many things in life. Currently Will, Anna, and myself are beside ourselves eagerly anticipating the opening day of Indiana's youth whitetail weekend. Will told me yesterday "I have been waiting for this day all year". Truth be told, I have been too! Today we live in the shadow of a Biblical event that every believer should be eagerly anticipating. All too often we are so focused on our daily tasks, goals, dreams, and aspirations that this event is but a distant thought at best. I believe if this Biblical event was not an after thought, but a daily reality in our lives it would radically change how we do life here and now! So what is the event? Well, I am glad you asked! Grab a cup of coffee, pull up a chair, and watch this short video to learn more! Blessings on your week! paul Sore Muscles by Paul Walerczak Have your ever thought of your walk with the Lord as exercising a spiritual muscle? In today's simple devotional we will think about that thought for just a moment. Is it possible to get "sore muscles" in reference to our spiritual walk and growth? I believe it is and it simply comes from not using our "muscles". Blessings on your day and I hope you have a great weekend! Heaven and Hell by Paul Walerczak The topic of Heaven and Hell is one that has been discussed through the ages and will continue to be discussed into the future. Recently there has been a lot of conversation, discussion, and down right heated debate over a book titled Love Wins written by Rob Bell, pastor of Mars Hill Church, located in Michigan. So why so much heated debate over a book titled Love Wins. After all isn't that what the Bible teaches...God is Love? Central to Rob Bell's teaching in Love Wins is the belief that all people will "eventually" go to heaven, because in the end "God's love wins". According to Bell, hell is not the place of eternal seperation and torment as many have believed the scriptures to teach since Jesus first spoke these words to the early disciples. The big problem with the teachings contained within Love Wins is that Rob Bell's overall teaching of heaven, hell, and what happens to us when we die are simply not Biblical. This type of teaching, which most closely resembles universalism, is a false gospel that ultimately has the potential to lead many people astray on this important topic. Jesus, who speaks of hell more than any other figure in scripture, does give us sound teaching on the topic of heaven and hell. Today we will simply discuss a few of Jesus' thoughts in reference to this all important topic of heaven and hell. Mission by Paul Walerczak Over the past couple of years the Lord has allowed me to meet some wonderful folks in the outdoor industry. These are men and women whom you have most likely seen at a trade show, wildgame dinner, or even on television. They are passionate about God's creation and they love His Son Jesus Christ. They have a drive to simply tell as many outdoorsmen as they can about Jesus and the life transforming message of the Gospel. One such individual has become a good friend of mine and I am blessed to call him a brother in Christ. God has blessed him with a solid outdoor ministry reaching literally thousands of outdoorsmen for Christ annually. Within the past twelve months my friend Jason Cruise has been caring a burden that the Lord laid on his heart and now he is doing something about it. This vision is simply called "Mission". As a father with 6 children myself, I could relate to the feelings Jason was experiencing as he filmed this video. I would humbly like to ask that you take the five or so minutes you normally would have listened to me and give your full attention to Jason in the embeded video as he describes "Mission". Then, once you have finished watching the video visit Jason's new website www.themissionvision.net Finally, pray about what you have seen, heard, and read. As always I pray you have a great week and I appreciate you giving Jason a few moments of your time to learn about "Mission". There are times in life where God simply uses various events and circumstances in our lives to literally bring us to a moment of truth. I had one of those moments this past week! In that moment I realized the message that the Lord was trying to reveal to me and had been trying to reveal to me for quit sometime. In this devotional titled "Vapor" I look foward to sharing with you the "Ah Ha" moment I was blessed to have this past week. Note: 6 minutes in length note 9 as indicated by the player. Thanks! The Battlefield by Paul Have you ever just had one of "those" days? You know the days that seem like everything is literally a struggle. Sometimes it feels like everything we touch simply falls apart or is literally at war against us. I had one of the "those" days today. The truth is the whole of creation is literally groaning under the weight of the fall. In today's devotional I offer some encouraging words to you on the tail end of one of "those" days that I have just experienced! I hope this is a blessing to you! We Can't Silence Creation! by Paul The Bible is chock-full of verses that detail the involvement of God in creation. I have often heard it said "no serious thinking person would put their trust in the Bible, especially when it comes to creation". When I hear this my next statement to the person is "Have you studied the Bible, or is that what you have been told". I humbly, but firmly believe, that no serious thinking person, who is committed to finding TRUTH, can walk away from a complete examination of scripture with any other thought except the creation account as told in scripture is 100% true. I believe this "Without Excuse"! |
Pastor PaulSince a young age Pastor Paul has had a love for the outdoors. After he became a Christian in October of 1994 God began to use the great outdoors to demonstrate to Pastor Paul the eternal truths of scripture. In this section he will share some of these thoughts via written or audio devotionals. Archives
