Dominion by Paul In the creation account found in Genesis Chapter 1 we come across two very interesting words that will be the topic for our discussion today. We see very quickly that God did give Adam and Eve purpose when He said "Have dominion and subdue it". Come along as we discuss these all important words found in the creation account that are as important today as when God spoke them a few thousand years ago to Adam and Eve.

Creation Declares the Fall by Paul In this episode of Paul's Corner we will examine what the Bible has to say about the fall of man as detailed in the book of Genesis. The beauty and complexity of creation speaks to God as our creator. There is also another facet of creation that many of us overlook that declares the sinfulness of man and our need for a savior-Jesus. Today we will examine a few verses of scripture to help us understand that "Creation Declares the Fall" Creation Speaks by Paul This week we take a simple look at what the Bible has to say about creation. After a couple of wonderful days in the great outdoors fishing with my family I was reminded again of how "Creation Speaks" to each one of us. There are those who down right don't believe in the creation account of the Bible and would rather take a larger step of faith and belive that we evolved from random chances and processes over billions of years. In this devotion we take a look at a few key scriptures in reference to creation. I hope it is a blessing to you! Free Indeed by Paul Today we celebrate Independence Day! We remember all of those who have given the ultimate price for our freedom and we celebrate the liberty we have in freedom. I am personally thankful that I live in a country where I can still share my faith "Without Excuse". In the Bible Jesus also taught about freedom. In this short devotional we will cover some of Jesus' words that lead to ultimate freedom! The God of Jacob is Our Refuge! by Paul As you most likely have already noticed you are not watching a video this week of me greeting you. I wish that were possible, but the truth is my voice is all but gone. It wouldn't be pretty!!! I have battled a sore throat and a continual sense of being tired this week even though I have slept more this week than I usually do. The Lord answered my prayers yesterday in the midst of my minor health issues. He allowed me to get through my normal duties at Dogwood Community Church as well as preach last night on the use of Spiritual Gifts at a neighboring church. God is good! Last week I spoke on the topic "Don't Worry About It". Since the release of that devotional there have been several emails that have come across my computer indicating how timely the devotional was in reference to certain situations in the viewer's lives. I thank the Lord for each of you who have written in and your comments have been encouraging and uplifting to me. Thank you and you will continue to be in my prayers! Sickness, trials, and struggles are a part of life, but not always a bad thing. One viewer broke his back in three places, herniated two discs, and has indured three surgeries in three and half years. He endures pain daily and is possibly facing more treatment in the future. This viewer encouraged me this morning with his comments of how God has worked in wonderful ways to strengthen his business, marriage, and relationship with his children through these physical battles. There are very real physical, mental, social, financial, and other troubles we face in life daily. Today I want to leave you with these encouraging words today from the book of Psalms. Psalm 46:1-3 God [is] our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; [Though] its waters roar [and] be troubled, [Though] the mountains shake with its swelling. Selah Psalm 46:10-11 Be still, and know that I [am] God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! The LORD of hosts [is] with us; The God of Jacob [is] our refuge. Selah Until next time, May the God of Jacob be your refuge and strength today, and in the days to come! In His Amazing Grace, paul Romans 1:20 Family, church, career, goals, aspirations, bills, budget, illness, bad news.....do you feel your anxiety level beginning to rise just reading those words? If so, then this short devotional is for you! Jesus uses a couple of ordinary examples from creation to help us understand that God will provide for us. Next, Jesus will share what we should focus our thoughts on in order to combat worry and anxiety. So, the next time you are worried step outside, look at the birds and flowers, and then center your thoughts on God. As always I hope these words from Jesus will encourage you today! Blessings on your week! This past weekend I had the honor of speaking to a group of fellow team members at the Midwest Whitetail two day annual summer meeting in Albia, IA home of Bill Winke. This was a great two day event attended by 150 of the pro-staff. Saturday morning I spoke to the team about fullfilling the Great Commission with Excellence and Humility. This morning I simply share a few of the key high points from this talk for your encouragement! Blessings on your week. If you have turned on the TV, read the newspaper, listened to the radio, picked up a magazine, or logged onto the internet today you most likely have already had your fill of "BAD NEWS". In this short devotional based out of Psalm 103:10-14 I would like to share some "GOOD NEWS" with you today that will hopefully radically change your outlook on life not just today, but everyday! The simple thought for the day is "Forgiven". In this world of text, email, and instant messaging it is so important to literally "unplug" from all of our electronics and reconnect to the things that are important. In this simple devotional Paul discusses this topic and shares an illustration from Jesus' ministry that demonstrates His committment to becoming "unplugged". The Return of Christ and the end of the world has been a hot topic lately. Harold Camping's claims that May 21st, 2011 would see the world ending and the Return of Christ have now come and gone. In the wake of this once again false prediction what is one left to believe. In this 9 minute video Paul tackles this topic head on with simple to understand scripture to help us understand the BIBLE's position on the return of Christ. |
Pastor PaulSince a young age Pastor Paul has had a love for the outdoors. After he became a Christian in October of 1994 God began to use the great outdoors to demonstrate to Pastor Paul the eternal truths of scripture. In this section he will share some of these thoughts via written or audio devotionals. Archives
