Hello,
At the end of December, and the beginning of January, we begin to think in terms of years. We look back over the past 12 months, and recall blessings, and maybe heartbreaks. We look forward to a new year filled with great expectations from a great God. But at the same time, we must realize that our life is lived out moment by moment, step by step, and day by day. A Quote from Abraham Lincoln says: "The best thing about the future is that it comes only one day at a time." As you keep this fact in mind, enjoy this little poem by Frances Ridley Havergal. "Another year is dawning: Dear Father, let it be, In working or in waiting, Another year with Thee; Another year of progress, Another year of praise, Another year of proving Thy presence all the days. Another year of mercies, Of faithfulness and grace; Another year of gladness In the shining of Thy face; Another year of leaning Upon Thy loving breast; Another year of trusting, Of quiet, happy rest. Another year of service, Of witness for Thy love; Another year of training For holier work above. Another year is dawning: Dear Father, let it be, On earth or else in heaven, Another year for Thee. Amen "Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom" (Psalm 90:12). May our Lord bless you today, and remember that you are loved!!! Henry
