Our Influence Matters

Hello,
 
We live in the information age for sure.  People are strongly influenced from all the data poured into their lives daily.  Information from TV shows, talk radio, movies, the internet, etc.  Most of us feel that we have very little, if any, influence on others.  But God has a different opinion, and He gives us a strong warning in His word.
 
"That no man put a stumbling block or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way" (Rom. 14:13).
 

Not only are we to be careful for our own soul’s sake, but for the sake of others – for our example’s sake. What effect will my conduct have on others? What influence will I bear upon others, upon my friends? If I participate in this activity, do I want my children to follow my example? Do I want my youngsters to follow in my footsteps in this activity? What kind of testimony will this be to my unsaved friends?  Let's give our live in service to God and one another.
 

WE ARE PILGRIMS ON A JOURNEY;
WE'RE TOGETHER ON THIS ROAD.
WE ARE HERE TO HELP EACH OTHER
 WALK THE MILE AND BEAR THE LOAD.
 
I WILL HOLD THE CHRIST-LIGHT FOR YOU
IN THE NIGHT-TIME OF YOUR FEAR;
I WILL HOLD MY HAND OUT TO YOU,
SPEAK THE PEACE YOU LONG TO HEAR.
 
I WILL WEEP WHEN YOU ARE WEEPING;
WHEN YOU LAUGH, I'LL LAUGH WITH YOU.
I WILL SHARE YOUR JOY AND SORROW
TILL WE'VE SEEN THIS JOURNEY THRO'.
 
BROTHER, SISTER, LET ME SERVE YOU
LET ME BE AS CHRIST TO YOU;
PRAY THAT I MAY HAVE THE GRACE TO
 LET YOU BE MY SERVANT TOO.
