Good morning,
"The words I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life." John 6:63 Our God is always faithful to His word, and so He was there with us yesterday as we gathered to worship Him. Don't you appreciate the fact that preaching is the main ministry of the church, with many other ministries to support it? The word of God was proclaimed in the Sunday school classes, in the singing, and finally in the preaching. His word is irreplaceable, as the chorus that started our worship service declares. "Ancient words ever true Changing me and changing you, We have come with open hearts Oh let the ancient words impart" If you were a father in the service yesterday, I'm sure you felt the challenge to step up and fill your role as the pastor of your home. As Anthony studies and prays to prepare himself and keep himself prepared to be our pastor, so must the father study and pray to equip himself to be the pastor of his home. Those ancient words are still true today, and will change you; and as you then share them with your family, your family will be changed. "Sing them over again to me, Wonderful words of Life. Let me more of their beauty see, Wonderful words of Life." Listen again to what Jesus, the One behind the words, is telling us: "The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life." So, study to equip yourself for your most important joy. My the Lord bless you and yours today, and as you start your week always remember that you are loved!!! Henry
