Shoot the Wolves
by Paul

Today we live in a post modern age where Truth is perceived as relative.  Over and over in our culture today we are taught that truth is what we want it to be.  We are told there is no absolute truth.  You can believe what you want to believe, I can believe what I want to believe and as long as nobody gets hurt then all is well.  The sobering reality on this topic is that there is absolute truth.  This truth is contained in the sixty six books of the Bible and we are accountable.

So what do we do as Bible believing Christians when we encounter post modern teaching or it begins to creep into the church?  Watch this weeks lesson to find out!

Blessings on your week,
paul

Thank you pastor Paul! The evangelical church at large is dancing with wolves, pretty much. Wolf hunters are very unpopular in today's church. Some immature pastors (who may actually be wolves themselves in some cases) call wolf hunters "haters" and they are often ostracized and called "divisive" and said to have a 'critical spirit.' Even if the wolf hunter isn't quite as gracious as we would like (as is often the case, because they are alarmed!) their challenge is only going to be resolved by going to Scripture to put the issue to rest. A real wolf hunter is only going to be calmed down by Scripture. That is - you would have to show the wolf hunter that he is wrongly identifying his target, and do it by a right interpretation of Scripture. Telling them they are divisive won't help.

A dog barks at an intruder and we shouldn't mistreat or abuse the dog for attempting to protect the house or the family, and yet we often do turn on those who are trying (perhaps imperfectly) to protect the church. We should take their concerns seriously and endeavor to help them do it more and more accurately.

So thank you for this excellent and timely warning!

Since a young age Pastor Paul has had a love for the outdoors.  After he became a Christian in October of 1994 God began to use the great outdoors to demonstrate to Pastor Paul the eternal truths of scripture.  In this section he will share some of these thoughts via written or audio devotionals.
