The Man Minute sixty second investments in Christ-like manhood
You have an enemy and he is real. Satan is playing for keeps, and he wants it all. Truer still, he knows your blindsides. Have you ever noticed that Satan rarely tempts you with things in your strong suit? He tempts you in areas where you are deficient. Those area where you are vulnerable. Maybe for one man it's greed. For another it's power and pride. And for another it's sex. Satan doesn't care the avenue of deception. It's not the actual sin he's after. It's not the embarrassment of your reputation that he's seeking. He's out for the entrapment of your heart - the very engine that drives your life. Blindsides are just that - areas where you don't see the danger until it's staring you in the soul. In those moments, you cannot take the time to try and make logical decisions because, again, it's your blindside. This is an area where you've lost the battle in times past. What you need is a pre-conceived strategy. The military calls it a Contingency Plan. A plan that is immediately put into place the moment that certain scenario unfolds. The best way to beat temptation is to pre-determine how are you going to respond BEFORE the situation actually happens. No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it. - 1 Corinthians 10:3 www.jasoncruisespeaks.com and www.outdoorministrynetwork.com
